Reframe Aging Roundtable – Care Partners’ monthly community conversation about aging and ageism – has moved to a new time and location. The discussion now takes place on the third Monday of each month from 12:15-1:45pm at The Hub (10 Broadway, Grand Marais.)
“We hope that meeting during the day will make it easier for folks to participate, especially during the winter months,” says Care Partners Programs Administrator Christie John. “There’s also something special about enjoying a conversation over a meal or a cup of coffee that invites a kind of informality and sense of community. And of course we’re excited to meet at The Hub, which provides easy accessibility and a friendly atmosphere.”
Participants are welcome to bring a bag lunch if they’d like, or order a great meal from the Hub (call before 9:30am to place your order) or simply grab a cup of coffee or tea and join in the fun.
A specially-selected book of the month will continue to serve as a springboard for the group’s discussion, but everyone is welcome to participate in the always-lively conversation whether they’ve read it or not. Our friends at Drury Lane offer the book at a 15% discount and the wonderful Grand Marais Public Library does it’s best to make it available for borrowing.
