Care Partners of Cook County and Cook County Higher Education (CCHE) have been pleased to present “Caring With Compassion: Effective End-of-Life Conversations with Patients & Clients”, a free, four-part professional development series. These sessions are designed to help those in healthcare, social service, and other caring professions feel more confident in navigating effective, compassionate end-of-life conversations with the people they serve in our unique Cook County setting. They are especially geared toward those who engage in sustained dialogue about a person’s physical, emotional, social, spiritual, or practical needs when facing end of life.

Session Descriptions & Recordings
Dr. Farchmin helped us consider the complex network of professionals who walk alongside those facing end-of-life and the evolving role of health care professionals in end-of-life discussions. We explored why these conversations are personally and professionally challenging, and learned how they might be reframed to make them less difficult and more meaningful.
