Through funding from the Administration for Community Living (ACL) and St. Louis County Public Health, the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging (AAAA) has just released 10 infographics which provide a snapshot of demographic and access data for older adults. These profiles represent the State of Minnesota, the Arrowhead Region collectively, and each of the Arrowhead’s 7 counties – including Cook County – as well as a breakout of St. Louis County with and without Duluth statistics.
The profiles highlight data regarding 60+ population totals, percentage of older adults living alone, older adults below the poverty line, vehicle access, health disparities and more. Besides individual infographics about the state, region, and counties in the Arrowhead area, AAAA has also created an executive summary that provides further context, definitions of terms, and data sources.
Additionally, AAAA will host a webinar called Bridging Data and Community Action on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 10 am to 11 am. The webinar will discuss the county profiles, ways to utilize the profiles for solutions, and funding sources to promote action.
