The rain held off this year (YAY!!!) and we enjoyed a windy but wonderful 2nd Annual Team Grand Marais Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, October 5th! A HUGE thank you to:
- The Hub, for their partnership in sponsoring the event, for providing treats for the “thank you” bags, and for being terrific hosts!
- The Cook County YMCA for their willingness to be our backup venue in case of rain
- The Walk Planning Team
- Those who walked in memory or honor of someone, or in support of a world without Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias
- The volunteers who helped set up, welcome walkers, assist with registration, hand out flowers, and serve as route hosts (and cheerleaders!)
- Everyone who supported Team Grand Marais through their generous donations to the Alzheimer’s Association
- Our beautiful young friend for holding the white flower representing the hope for a cure, and for leading us on the walk
- Michaela (and her lovely family!) from the Alzheimer’s Association in Duluth for all her assistance in planning the event, and for driving all that way to help on walk day!
- The Alzheimer’s Association for contributing supplies, “thank you” bags & gifts, and pre-walk refreshments
