The Minnesota Energy Assistance Program (EAP) helps pay home energy costs for low-income households. Services include payment of energy bills, help with energy shutoffs or necessary fuel deliveries, education on efficient and safe use of home energy, and repair or replacement of homeowners’ broken heating systems.

- Renters and homeowners are eligible.
- Assets such as the home are not considered in determining eligibility.
- Grants range from $300 to $1600, based on household size, income, & fuel cost
- Help may be available for many types of fuel including natural gas, propane, oil, electric, or wood.
