We’re happy to participate in the 3rd Annual Cook County Earth Day Fair on Saturday, April 20 from 11am to 3pm at Cook County ISD 166 School! The day will include a series of speakers, interactive booths, games, and local food + goods! Stop by the Care Partners booth where we’ll gather environmental wisdom from our community, including those who have been hanging out on this planet for – ahem – more than a few turns around the sun. What are the lessons that you’ve learned about sustainable, environmentally-friendly living? We’d love to hear your favorite sayings, hacks, habits, stories – and perhaps wisdom that was handed down from YOUR parents or grandparents! Share when you stop by the booth, or use the link below to send your thoughts ahead of time!
You are also invited to our first-of-2024 in-person Lunch & Learn on April 24 from noon to 1pm at Cook County Higher Education (or join us via Zoom!) Hiking, kayaking, fishing, skiing…there so many ways to get out and explore one of the loveliest places on earth. As we age, we may find it more challenging to enjoy these activities in quite the same way we did when we were younger. Tregg Axtell, Physical Therapist from North Shore Health, will be on hand to give us some tips for safely continuing to pursue the outdoor adventures we love…at any age! Free lunch will be available for the first 20 people who register for the in-person class! Click here to register!
